HBL PSL6: Peshawar Zalmi beat Quetta Gladiators by three wickets in last over thriller                                                                     





                                                                                                                                         
A late attack by Sherfan Ruder Ford and Wahab Riaz against Quetta Gladiators in the eighth round of HBLPSL 6 at the National Stadium in Karachi on Friday evening gave Peshawar Zalmi a thrilling three-wicket victory.

Chasing a big score of 199 for the win, Zalmi struggled to score 145 for five in 15.5 overs and Wahab needed 54 off 25 balls when he joined Rutherford.

Both batsmen took the bowlers to the cleaners and scored 44 runs in the next three overs to level the score at just six in the last over.

Mohammad Hasnain bowled Wahab (20 for 8) off the first ball of the last over, but bowled a full toss away from the keeper to allow the team to score five runs and eventually Ruder Ford seasoned the winning shot-hand Zalmi. The second success made its name. Spare with three balls

The youngsters hit a maximum of five fours and two sixes and got the required support from opener Imam-ul-Haq from the other end as the duo made a crucial partnership of 51 runs.

Imam was bowled by league spinner Zahid Mahmood for 41 off 30 balls. His innings included four fours and a six.

Haider, then, joined veteran Shoaib Malik, but the team needed 120 off 64 balls.

Haider scored the second half century of his HBL PSL career off 28 balls and was caught by Dale Steyn the next.

Stan, playing his first match of the season, took two wickets for 44 runs in four overs.

PAKISTAN SUPER LEAGUE 2021                                   
The 2021 Pakistan Super League (also called PSL 6 or HBL PSL 2021 for sponsorship reasons) was the sixth season of the Pakistan Super League, a franchise of the Twenty20 cricket league that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) B) was established in 2015. The second season should be held entirely in Pakistan. It was originally scheduled for February and March 2021.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             
On March 4, 2021, the PCB suspended the tournament in which 14 out of Schedule 30 group matches were played after several cases of Covid 19 were recorded. On March 11, 2021, the PCB confirmed that it intends to reschedule the remaining fixtures for June 2021. On March 18, 2021, the PCB proposed to resume the tournament. All matches will be held on June 2 or 6 and June 20, 2021 in Karachi. On April 11, 2021, the PCB announced that the remaining matches will be held on June 1, 2021. Were scheduled to begin. On May 20, 2021, the remaining matches of PSL 6 were approved to be played in the United Arab Emirates. The tournament resumed on June 9, 2021. The PSL was established in 2015 and started in 2016, meaning it was the sixth edition of the tournament. This was the third year of the sponsorship deal with the Habib Bank Limited (HBL) tournament. After postponing the previous edition due to the corona virus, the tournament was expected to be held behind closed doors. However, the Pakistani government approved hosting the tournament with 20% capacity. An additional 10% could be allowed after the group stage. Talking about the crowd, PCB chairman Ehsan Mani said he hoped they could increase their capacity for future tours to Pakistan by the end of the year if they maintained strict protocol during the tournament.
